Statement
My work explores the tension between preservation and change, reflecting on how memory and history are carried forward in an evolving world. Through printmaking, painting, and sculpture, I draw from the quiet resilience of rural life and the stories embedded in landscapes and objects. I’m interested in how the past shapes identity and place—what gets remembered, forgotten, or reinterpreted over time.
At its core, my work envisions a crossroads — a meeting point where the American West and rural Appalachia converge, like stepping into a country store tucked in the mountains or an old saloon in the desert. The textures and marks in my pieces echo the passage of time, inviting reflection on how history and memory endure even as the world shifts around us.
