My work reflects my relationship to the world, to nature, and to the fragile interior spaces of being human. Through my creative practice, I try to look beneath the surface of things, listening for what hums underneath the noise of the everyday. Ordinary scenes become sites of quiet transformation, where familiar gestures tilt toward the dreamlike when met with patience, slowness, and care.
I am drawn to the in-between space where observation meets imagination. Figures and environments in my work do not describe specific narratives so much as shared emotional terrain. They hover between memory and myth, between the personal and the archetypal, suggesting states of longing, tenderness, and uncertainty that gently bind us to one another. I think of these images as still unfolding, held open rather than resolved.
Material sensitivity is central to my practice. I work slowly and attentively, allowing surface, pressure, and color to guide the image as much as intention does. In monotype printmaking, each image appears only once, shaped by chance and touch, drifting into places I could not have planned. Painting offers a similar openness, where forms soften, dissolve, and blur into their surroundings, echoing the way perception itself remains unstable and porous.
I believe we are inseparable from the natural world, children of the same rhythms that shape plants, animals, and weather. My work carries this awareness forward, hoping to remind viewers that we are at once free and limited, fragile and responsible, solitary and deeply connected.
