Statement
Music, words, figures, botanical symbolism, spiritual concepts and emotions often work together to inspire the visual work I create. I tend to paint ‘in a minor key’—reflecting both brokenness and hope.
I work from a place of deep intuition and listening, approaching painting without a preconceived idea and allowing the process to guide me. Through gesture, color, and form, I enter into a dialogue with the paint—one that is rooted in emotion, spirit, and discovery as I explore the space between the seen and the unseen. Abstract figures surface unexpectedly, dissolving and re-forming through layers of paint, texture, and mark-making. Words often appear, offering a glimpse into the emotional and spiritual undercurrents moving through the work.
My practice is an ongoing journey of uncovering and trust—of surrendering to the unknown and allowing meaning to reveal itself. Each painting is both a mirror and a vessel, holding traces of vulnerability, transformation, and the quiet truths that emerge.
I seek to create work that resonates not just visually, but viscerally—inviting viewers into a shared space of reflection, feeling, and presence.
