Statement
Elizabeth is a self-taught painter based in Charlotte, NC, where she lives with her husband and three little boys.

Her work depicts biblical stories and the life of faith in a blend of surreal impressionism and dreamlike abstraction. Form, symbol, and blurred color intertwine to reckon with what lies beyond clarity – the mystery of human encounters with the spiritual.

Through my practice I seek how the Spirit of God is at work. I wrestle. I ask. I receive. I give thanks. Painting tells me of God and of myself in a way I can better see & embrace.
