Josh Green

Josh Green is a drummer and composer exploring the evolving intersection of percussion and immersive visual design. After more than 25 years of shaping sound through performance and recording—with artists including Infradig, Josh Garrels, The Distribution, and Summer Dregs—his current work pushes far beyond traditional drumming.

As the creator of the Permanent Record drum sample library, he proved his dedication to experimentation by producing and releasing a new drum-loop pack every day for an entire year.

Now, his focus is on composing intricate, sensor-driven rhythmic pieces that control and interact with complex visual environments. Through advanced sensory percussion systems, he triggers MIDI/DMX lighting, dynamic projections, and real-time video structures—crafting performances where sight and sound are inseparably woven.

Drawing inspiration from innovators such as Four Tet, Ian Chang, and Deantoni Parks, Josh continues to expand the cinematic and architectural possibilities of percussive art.
