TENDING THE GARDEN OF IGNORANCE: Sketchbooks as Sacred Ground

Description: Every creative journey hits roadblocks—but what if the blank page isn’t a hurdle to leap, but a wild garden to wander? And what if there were something that could turn the fear of not knowing into rich, composty magic?

In this workshop, we’ll champion the sketchbook as a secret hideaway, a shield against doubt, and a trusted companion for venturing into the unknown. With pages open, we’ll practice “tending the garden of ignorance,” discovering that not knowing isn’t a flaw but a feature and is a sacred, fertile part of the creative process, tilled by the act of drawing.

Whether you’re a seasoned sketchbooker, a lapsed doodler, or someone who swears they can’t draw at all—this workshop is for you. Expect a handful of playful exercises, zero pressure to make “good” art, and a gentle reintroduction to the blank page as a place brimming with possibility.
