Workshop Description:
A workshop for filmmakers, writers, and storytellers that will explore the contemplative rule of life in the context of artistic vocation and marketplace ambition.
About the instructor:
Thomas Torrey is a film director, writer, and owner of Protagonist, a production company that helps business leaders craft and communicate their stories. He is also the co-founder of Bad Theology, the indie studio behind the feature films Fare, Minor Premise, and Long December—winner of the One in a Million Award at the 2024 Sun Valley Film Festival. Torrey is currently prepping his fourth feature, the southern thriller All the Names We Buried, part of the South Carolina Film Commission’s Long Lens Program for 2026. He is also a student at Mepkin Abbey’s Institute for Contemplative Leadership.
