Stephen Roach

Stephen Roach is the founder of The Breath & The Clay creative arts organization and host of the Makers & Mystics podcast. He is a poet, creative mentor, and multi-instrumentalist with a background in ethnomusicology and film composition. His work explores the intersections of art, the Christian faith, and culture. Stephen has spent more than a decade curating conversations with leading artists, authors, and visionaries who walk the borderlands of creativity and the human experience. His first book, Naming the Animals: An Invitation to Creativity, offers insights into the creative process as a continuum of the initial creative acts found in Genesis 1-2. Stephen lives in North Carolina with his wife, Sarah, and their two children.
